If you plan to live in a city for a long time(at least 6 months), the best way is to go directly to the Telegram group or Facebook to find accommodation or find an introduction from a real estate agent. If you have enough Ukrainian skill, olx.ua is a good option.

If you plan to live in the city for a short period of time, it may be best to use websites such as Airbnb, Booking, Agoda, Expedia, Tripadvisor... to make reservations.

If you plan to volunteer in a city close to the front lines, it is recommended to live as close to a shelter as possible.

How to handle an air raid :

1. Install the app Air Alarm Ukraine and Air Alert! on your phone and join any air raid alert group of Telegram or WhatsApp.
2. Check for upcoming attack types. It could be a drone, a missile or a rocket.
3. Go to the shelter nearby. If you can't find one, select whatever place under cover is handy and follow "The rule of two walls". Which means always select a place where there are at least two walls to cover you. The first wall can withstand the explosion, the second wall blocks the explosion fragments.
4. Avoid getting near large windows.
5. Learn basic first aid so you not only have a chance to save yourself, but others too.
